How to Play Games That Use Flash
Here are the steps you need to take to make sure you can handle Flash games.
Difficulty Level:
medium
Time Required:
60 minutes
Here's
How:
- Make sure you have the Flash plugin properly downloaded and installed.
- After installing, reboot your computer to insure proper operation.
- Un-install any plugins that you might have put on earlier that could possibly conflict.
- If you removed anything, re-boot again.
- Select a game site that you know to contain good Flash games (see below)
- Open your browser to Full Screen by clicking the middle box in the upper-right corner of your open browser window.
- Close any programs you have open, other than Netscape or Internet Explorer.
- Play the game! But if it doesn't work....
- Make sure you don't have any boot-up applications running; check by hitting control-alt-del in Windows95, and close anything optional.
- Check your taskbar (lower-right corner of desktop) and close anything optional.
Tips:
- These steps above will help with either Flash or Shockwave.
- If your computer is too old or too slow, these plugins simply may not run, or may cause you to crash often.
